A subscription to vidioo Pro is also governed by the subscription terms (price, term, cancellation, withdrawal, license); they take precedence over these terms within their scope.

2. What the app does

The app is a video editor for long-form and short-form video. You edit videos on your Mac, by hand or with the help of an AI, and can publish finished videos through your own YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram accounts. How the app handles data is described in the app privacy policy.

I keep developing the app. During a running subscription I only change paid features for a valid reason, for example because platform or AI provider interfaces have changed, for security reasons or because the law has changed, at no extra cost and with notice in the app or by email. If a change impairs use more than insignificantly, you can end the subscription free of charge within 30 days of the information or, if later, of the change (section 327r(3) German Civil Code); details are in the subscription terms. Features that depend on third-party services (platforms, AI providers, material sources) only work as long as these services offer them.

3. Use

You may use the app for your own private and professional projects. You may not use the app in a way that infringes the rights of others or the law, or circumvent protection mechanisms of the app or of the connected services. Acts permitted by law remain unaffected.

4. Your content

Your videos, texts and projects belong to you; the app acquires no rights to them. You are responsible for everything you create and publish with the app. In particular:

I do not see or review your content.

5. Publishing to platforms

When you publish through the app, you use your own account with the platform. Its terms and policies apply, in particular:

The platforms decide for themselves whether and how they accept, display or restrict a video. A post is only sent once you release it in the planner.

6. AI providers and other services

For AI features you use your own access to an AI provider (a CLI with your subscription, your own API key or an external MCP client), as well as your own keys for services such as Pexels, xAI, Higgsfield or ElevenLabs. This use is governed by the respective provider’s terms; the provider bills you directly. I am not responsible for the availability, content or terms of these services.

7. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where I have given a guarantee. In cases of slight negligence I am only liable for breach of an essential obligation whose fulfilment makes proper use of the app possible in the first place and on whose observance you may rely, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Mandatory statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.

Please back up important projects and originals regularly, for example with Time Machine.

8. Changes to these terms

If the app or the legal situation changes, I may adapt these terms. The current version is on this page. If you are a consumer, changes only apply to you once you agree to them; I will announce them in advance in the app or by email.

9. Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country remain unaffected.

I am neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
