Data Deletion

This is a translation. The German version is authoritative. The app’s interface is in German; German labels are given in brackets.

1. What vidioo has at all

There is no user account with vidioo for the app. At launch and then every six hours, the app asks vidioo.app for the vidioo Pro offer, and with a license key also for the license. Only the host’s usual access logs arise in the process. If you bought vidioo Pro, there is also an entry in the license list without name or email address (section 6). What the app stores is on your Mac: projects, planner, settings, the access to connected accounts and, with vidioo Pro, the license key and confirmation. Your published videos are with the respective platform. Details are in the app privacy policy.

2. Disconnect in the app

  1. In the app, open Settings › Publishing (“Einstellungen › Veröffentlichen”) and click “Disconnect” (“Trennen”) for each connected account (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram). The app asks the platform to revoke the access and deletes it from your Mac’s keychain.
  2. After disconnecting, the planner still holds the account name and the video IDs, links and status of posts already sent through that account. Remove the account name in the planner under “Accounts” (“Konten”), single posts in the post with “Remove” (“Entfernen”); everything goes together with the local data (step 4).
  3. If you entered your own developer app, remove its keys there with “Remove” (“Entfernen”).
  4. Remove your own API keys (for example for a language model, Pexels, xAI, Higgsfield or ElevenLabs) under Settings › Connections (“Verbindungen”) with “Disconnect” (“Trennen”).
  5. Remove the vidioo Pro license key and confirmation under Settings › vidioo Pro with “Von diesem Mac entfernen” (remove from this Mac). The subscription keeps running; you can cancel it under “Cancel contracts here”.

3. Revoke access at the platform

This also works without the app, for example if it is no longer installed:

Delete videos and posts you have already published directly on the platform; disconnecting does not remove them.

4. Delete local data on your Mac

  1. Quit the app.
  2. In the Finder (Go › Go to Folder …), delete these folders:
    • ~/Library/Application Support/vidioo Studio – projects, transcripts, planner, speech models, downloaded B-roll and logos
    • ~/Library/Caches/app.vidioo.studio – preview files and intermediate data
  3. Delete the app’s settings, for example in Terminal with defaults delete app.vidioo.studio.
  4. History of the AI CLIs, if you do not want to keep it: Claude Code stores the conversations from the app under ~/.claude/projects/ in folders whose name contains Library-Application-Support-vidioo-Studio-agent; you can delete these folders. Codex stores images under ~/.codex/generated_images. Other CLIs keep history under their own rules; see their documentation.
  5. Open Keychain Access, search for “vidioo” and delete the entries of the services app.vidioo.studio.publish (access to connected accounts and keys of your own developer apps) and app.vidioo.studio (your own API keys and the license key, account pro-license-live).
  6. Delete the app from the Applications folder.

Exported videos are stored by default in the “Movies” folder under vidioo Studio. They and the videos you imported belong to you; the app does not delete them. Delete them yourself if you no longer need them.

5. Data at AI providers and other services

Whatever you sent through the app to a language model or to services such as Pexels, xAI, Higgsfield or ElevenLabs is held by these providers under their rules. You can delete it in your account with the respective provider.

6. Deletion request by email

If you would like confirmation that I hold no data about you, or the deletion of data I do hold (for example from an email to me), write to business (at) michael-schuier (dot) de. I will reply within one month. Please state which account or address is concerned.

If you subscribed to vidioo Pro, I delete your subscription’s entry in the license list automatically twelve months after the end of the paid period. What is stored when you buy, and for how long, is described in the website privacy policy; records I must keep for tax reasons are only deleted once those periods have expired.
